From Radicofani, crossing a marvellous landscape, you descend towards the Val di Paglia: you will see all around you hills as far as eyes can see and the Monte Amiata, and behind us the fortress.
You will then lead into the Via Cassia, that has to be traveled paying attention to the traffic, and you will then enter first the country road to Pitigliano and then a long unpaved road that brings you to the wonderful hamlet of Proceno. A brief downhill stretch before facing the last ascent towards Acquapendente.
After visiting the Church of the Saint Sepulchre, whose amazing crypt reconstructs the namesake church in Palestine, the leg goes on without emotions until San Lorenzo Nuovo, where we can admire a nice view onto the Bolsena lake. Once gone down in the volcanic crater, we enter an enjoyable path onto unpaved roads, that leads us to Bolsena, in a continue rise and fall between olive tree grove, fields and woods, with wonderful landscapes on the lake.
Snacks and water areas only in Proceno, Acquapendente and San Lorenzo Nuovo.
